Personal Revolution

You have heard the saying “It all begins with you” more times than you care to recall but have you ever stopped to really think about it?

Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson and Oprah Winfrey are examples of people who turned what they had on the inside in terms of ideas and business ventures into multibillion dollar empires.

This does not mean that all your ideas will pay off or that all your ventures will make you a millionaire. It simply means that the journey to success in whatever shape or form starts with your attitude to life and how you carry yourself in it.

1. DO NOT FEAR AND WORRY ABOUT YOUR FUTURE

Envision the positive things for your life. Do not stress about the little hurdles that you really cannot avoid and can ultimately overcome.

2. DO NOT COMPARE YOUR LIFE TO OTHERS

No two people in life will have the exact success story. Every individual faces different challenges and as such reacts in different ways. Derive inspiration from others but do not compare. Comparing yourself to someone else will only cause jealousy and misery.

3. LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT

Many people get too concerned with the difficulties in life that you miss out on a wonderful present. Concentrate on what makes your life beautiful and be grateful rather than live in misery over what makes it hard.

Happy and successful people in life are optimists. Find the good in something every day and watch how different it makes you feel and the overall impact it will have on your life.

Relationships

The people you surround yourself with have tremendous impact on the person you are. You should never want to be in a binding relationship with someone who hinders your personal growth. Types of people you should have in your life:

1. THE GO-GETTER

This is the type of person who believes in going after what you want and not in sitting around waiting for it to come to you. This person will encourage you to always grab opportunities and

2. THE PERPETUAL OPTIMIST

This is the type of person who can find the good in everything. Their mere presence gives life more color. You learn to keep moving forward no matter how dire the situation seems to you.

3. THE REALIST

This is the type of person who will never tell you what you want to hear but rather what you NEED to hear.
The people you keep are either slowly building you or slowly ‘killing’ you.

OFFICE CHIC

A working lady should have that perfect fitting black skirt that can be paired with various items to make a lovely outfit for the office or a formal social event.

A pair of comfortable black heels is another wardrobe essential for any lady. They are versatile enough to pair with literally any outfit you can put together.

Anita has paired her black pencil skirt with a bright blue blouse and stripes patterned blazer with a pair of black heels topped off with a black tote bag.

This outfit is appropriate for the office, work-related meeting or as Anita did, for an interview.

It is a brand new year and with it comes countless opportunities and endless possibilities.

We would like you to also share your thoughts.

ABOUT PUBLIC IMAGE

Public Image has a unique approach to building individual and corporate achievement. Business etiquette, creating a positive image through posture and dress, soft skills, communication proficiency, personal branding and networking expertise are key elements in the Public Image approach to developing professional skills. Projecting a positive image for business will give you an edge in today's competitive market.

Why Your Image Matters

Your IMAGE is a very first thing that is available to others and is immediately evaluated and judged. Even if you truly believe you care more for someone’s values, personality and character, you also judge others based on their appearance. It happens instantly and subconsciously. It is not about rational reasons, but about emotions and impressions. It just feels right or not.

Your image reflects who you are, not only your personality and lifestyle, but also your values and goals. It is a way of communication and says about you much more than you may think. Reflect for a minute on your image…

  • Are you easily approachable or rather to be avoided?
  • Do you appear confident or shy and timid?
  • Do you look trustworthy or irresponsible?
  • Do you appear competent and intelligent or inadequate?

There is no one right image. There is no good or bad image. There is an image that either supports or doesn’t your career and personal goals. Your image matters because it can help you accelerate in your professional and private life. And image is much more than the appearance. It is also about how you act and communicate. It matters because it is about You.
